Homebrew Mead Wine Recipe
2 kg Honey Yeast
1 orange Yeast Nutrient
1 lemon 4.5 litres / 1 gallon water
Put the water and the honey into a pan and bring to simmering point
Skim, pour into a brewing bucket and leave to cool
Add the juice from the orange and lemon, yeast and yeast nutrient
Transfer to a demi john, fit an airlock and leave to ferment in a warm place until bubbling stops
This can take quite a long time
At this stage syphon into a clean demi john and leave to clear in a cool place
Bottle and leave to mature for at least 12 months before drinking
